Rico Blanco is busy juggling his schedule as a singer, actor and host, but he is definitely not complaining.

Rico returns to acting in ABS-CBN’s new teleserye “May Isang Pangarap”. He is also slated to host and judge TV5’s singing competition “Kanta Pilipinas”.

“It’s a blessing na busy. Nakakapagod minsan but you can’t complain,” he said.

While he is known as a musician and songwriter, Rico revealed that acting “has always been an option.” He previously starred in John Lloyd Cruz and Angel Locsin’s “Imortal.” Rico shared that his acting projects just came at the right time.

“Ever since, sa overall, tinitingnan ko yung ipa-prioritize sa career. For the first part of my career, nagpundar muna ako talaga ng pangalan sa music. Even though before, gusto ko rin naman na i-entertain yung acting. Siguro it was a matter na itong project na ito and yung “Imortal” before, dumating at the right time and right place,” he said at the press conference of “May Isang Pangarap” in Teatrino Greenhills on Thursday, January 17.

Rico also shared that his acting projects are not in conflict with his music career.

“Okay rin naman sa schedule kasi kakatapos ko lang ng album, so walang recording. Right timing lang rin talaga at ang ganda rin kasi ng roles na binigay sa akin,” he said.

He also made sure that he is not doing similar projects in different networks.

“As long as magkaiba naman yung project ko dito and sa ABS-CBN. I’m not exclusively tied with a network,” he said.

“May Isang Pangarap,” also stars Larah Claire Sabroso and Julia Klarisse Base, Carmina Villarroel, Rico Blanco, Gloria Diaz, Bembol Roco, Shamaine Buencamino, Valerie Concepcion, Dennis Padilla, Ron Morales, Dominic Roque and Erin Ocampo. The show airs weekdays after “It's Showtime”.
